Chuan has more than 16 years of experience as a venture capitalist and international business executive. At Highland, Chuan is focusing on investments in the TMT (Telecom, Media and Technology) sectors with a particular emphasis on emerging growth opportunities in China. As an early-stage investor, Chuan invested in Qihoo 360 and he continues to serve on the board after the company's IPO (NYSE:QIHU) in 2011. Chuan also invested in NetentSec, Viva, GameWave and co-led Highland's investment in UUSee. Prior to joining Highland, Chuan was a Partner at JAFCO America Ventures, responsible for JAFCO’s venture investment operations on the east coast of the US. He divided his time between venture investments and Asia business development activities. During this period, Chuan contributed to the growth and success of Pirus Networks (acquired by Sun Microsystems), Crescent Networks (acquired by Marconi) and edocs (acquired by Siebel). |
